"Love Poems For
A DIFFERENT KIND OF FIRE
Alfred greeted his Master and guests in the foyer with his usual aplomb. “Towels are laid out for your baths, sir.” Alfred took the coats and piled them in a basket for cleaning. “Please leave your sooty clothing outside your rooms. I will have a hot meal ready for you when you come down.”
“You’re a treasure, Alfred,” Dinah said with a smile.
Everyone trooped up the stairs, Bruce staying behind. “Everyone’s all right, Alfred.”
“Excellent, sir.” Alfred took Bruce’s coat. “I heard that a new phenomenon took place.”
“Yes. People are calling it the Blur.”
“Thank you, Alfred.”
“Of course, sir.”
Bruce trudged up the stairs. Sweaty and sooty, he was looking forward to a shower.
As he entered his bedroom, Clark was shrugging out of his sweater. His back was to Bruce, who got a very nice view, indeed. Muscles rippled as Clark lifted his arms to get the sweater off.
“It appears you made a debut of sorts tonight.”
“I did?” Clark turned, his face and neck smudged with soot. His hands and arms were dirty, too.
“Yeah. People are calling you the Blur.”
“The Blur?” Clark grinned. “What kind of a name is that?”
“Your super-speed helped keep your identity safe, but people still could see the blur of color.”
Clark looked down at the blue sweater in his hands. “I’m sorry, Bruce. I had to help.”
“Hey, it’s okay.” Bruce put a hand on Clark’s arm. “I know.”
Clark looked up with a smile that warmed Bruce.
“We should get you a proper costume. Black to start.” At Clark’s disappointed look, Bruce laughed. “Relax, once you have the hang of things and can openly serve as a hero you can be as bright as Dick.”
Clark smiled again, then sobered. “I may never be able to reveal myself.”
“Maybe, but you’re simply not ready at the moment.”
“Yeah, I had some experience at the saving thing before I left for space, but I had to do it in secret then, too.”
“We’ll figure something out.” Bruce squeezed his arm.
Clark nodded and started removing his pants. “Wonder Woman showed up, too.”
“Yes, I saw her. She’s a handy hero to have around.”
Clark laughed. “True. She always shows up during Halloween Week, which is a great help.”
“Yes,” Bruce said thoughtfully as he tugged off his own sweater. “She always does.”
They finished undressing in silence, then headed to the bathroom with anticipatory smiles. Bruce slid his hand down Clark’s back, resting it on his lover’s buttock as they stepped onto cold tiles.
The towels were laid out as Alfred promised, and Clark started the shower, letting Bruce test whether it was too hot or not. Bruce avidly raked his gaze down Clark’s body.
Clark smiled, love shining in his blue eyes. He took Bruce’s hand and they stepped into the shower, washing each other down, the soot sluicing off and swirling down the drain.
Attention was paid to each section of anatomy: neck, shoulders, arms, chest and legs. Soap and water cleaned soot off skin, and both men ducked their heads under the water, strawberry-scented shampoo added.
After cleansing, Bruce kissed Clark, water droplets shining in blue-black hair. Unearthly blue eyes sparkled at him as Clark lovingly stroked Bruce’s shoulders, sliding to his knees as the water fell over his shoulders and ran down his chest.
He nuzzled his face against Bruce’s thigh as he grasped his legs, Bruce running his fingers through his lover’s hair. He gasped as Clark began licking his cock, then slowly took him into his mouth.
This time Bruce groaned as hot wetness enveloped his cock, a clever mouth licking and sucking with all the expertise that Clark had learned as a pleasure slave.
Man, Clark’s talent is really stellar.
Bruce braced against the wall, Clark’s grip firm as he sucked. Little pinwheels began to dance behind Bruce’s closed eyelids, suddenly breaking apart and vanishing as he realized that Clark’s mouth was no longer around his cock.
Opening his eyes, he saw Clark standing up facing the wall, hands braced against the wall. He looked back over his shoulder, smiling saucily as he watched Bruce’s cock bob.
Smiling with evil intent, Bruce grabbed Clark’s hips and nudged his cock between Clark’s cheeks, sliding inside with ease.
He groaned in pleasure as Clark’s cheeks clenched around his cock, the friction nerve-tingling. He began to slide in-and-out as Clark relaxed, his lover keening softly as Bruce began to speed up the pace.
Clark moaned, throwing his head back as Bruce continued to make love to him. Bruce was enchanted by his wet, sun-bronzed god as he drove in hard, knowing that he could not hurt him.
“Love you,” Bruce growled, trying to push away all the thoughts of the changes that were coming in their lives and concentrating on the moment, which was sublime.
“I know,” Clark said breathlessly, teasing in his voice.
Bruce responded by thrusting harder, satisfied at Clark’s gasp of pleasure. He was enthralled by the sight of Clark up against the wall, legs spread and fingers scrabbling for purchase at the tiles. His head was thrust back, hair wet and hanging limp, rivulets of water streaming down his back and disappearing into the cleft between his cheeks.
Bruce came, hard and hot, and his seed spilled down Clark’s legs to wash down the drain. Bruce pressed close to his lover, lightly nipping his neck and shoulders. The collar shone brightly, sparkling from the water.
“Wow,” Clark breathed.
“Mmm.” Bruce nuzzled his lover’s neck. “Pity we just can’t snuggle in bed the rest of the night.”
“That wouldn’t be being a good host, now would it?” Clark purred, moving his head as Bruce nibbled behind his ear.
Bruce snaked his hand around Clark’s hip and grasped his cock. “Hmm, looks like I already took care of you.”
Clark laughed. “Yep, all done.”
Bruce kissed his shoulder. “Let’s go. Dinner awaits.”
“Yeah, we already had dessert.”
Bruce rolled his eyes as Clark laughed again.
As promised, Alfred had a hot and nourishing meal prepared. Due to the lateness of the hour, it was informal, set in the kitchen instead of the dining room. Everyone devoured bowls of beef stew laced with red pepper and accompanied by French bread, drinking hot cocoa and talking about the fire.
“Glad that no one got hurt, which is amazing with that many people around,” Steve said.
“That is an incredible occurrence,” Diana agreed.
“We were very lucky.” Bruce curled his finger around the handle of his mug. “A fire of that magnitude could have been disastrous.”
“Good to see Wonder Woman show up.” Ollie sipped his hot chocolate.
“I saw Batwoman and Batgirl around, too,” said Dinah.
“Yes, Jamie and I saw them up close,” Lex offered. Jamie grinned from the seat beside him and Dick, Roy and Melody smiled amongst themselves.
Immediately questions were flung at Lex, who held up his hands. “Whoa, let’s take it one at a time, shall we?” His light-blue eyes sparkled.
He told the tale of his adventure, Hal saying, “That was close! Good thing they were keeping an eye on things.”
“Jamie and I speculated that the guy was either part of a gang and got separated during the chaos or he decided to take advantage of the situation. Of course, that meant he carried a ski mask around with him.”
“’Have ski mask, will rob’,” Ollie quipped, eyes twinkling as everyone groaned.
“I am just glad you and Jamie are all right, Lex.” Diana scooped up a spoonful of stew.
“Thank you, Diana.”
“And maybe we saw the debut of a new hero tonight,” said Ollie cheerfully.
“You mean the Blur?” Dinah broke off a piece of bread.
“Exactly! Sounds like a shy guy.”
Ollie grinned as he took a bite of stew.
“I wonder what kind of power he has besides super-speed? Or did the Flash pay us a visit?” Hal pondered.
“Well, the Flash could have, but he wouldn’t have bothered staying out of the limelight.” Ollie frowned.
After the meal people went straight to bed, exhausted after fighting the fire.
Bruce held Clark close in bed as the moonlight spilled into the bedroom.
