Bruce was happy.
His Sunshine Boy was in his bed, warm and supple and elegant, one leg draped over Bruce’s.
He smelled so good, like warm sunshine. He was so beautiful, so perfect in every way. Bruce happily worshipped at the altar of Dick Grayson.
Moonlight poured through the window of their bedroom, silvering Dick’s body, accentuating every angle and every curve. Dick’s lips were curved into a smile as he slept, rested and relaxed.
Bruce gently brushed a lock of errant hair back from Dick’s brow. It was rare to have a peaceful moment. Their lives were so hectic most of the time that he was grateful for moments like this.
He gently caressed the curve of Dick’s hip, the smooth skin warm and inviting. Tiny motes of starlight dappled his skin, glittering in his raven hair.
His boy wore moonlight well.
Dick had adapted to the shadows from the beginning, his brightness somehow blending into the dark. He was a child of the sun yet fit very well with the moon.
Luckily for him.
Bruce slept peacefully, nightmares firmly at bay, Dick’s gift to him.
When Bruce started to wake up in the morning, sunlight streamed in through the windows. Cracking an eye open, he saw the golden rays caress Dick’s skin, clinging to him like rainbows on the mists.
Bruce smiled. He did get poetic when it came to his beauty.
Dick was made for sunlight, sparkling and shimmering and pretty as can be. He brought Light to Bruce’s Darkness, but he wore moonlight well, its quiet silver a perfect complement to bubbling gold.
Bruce was devoutly glad that Dick’s sunshine allowed itself to fold up and slip beneath his moonlight.
He gently drew Dick to him and kissed him awake, as night fell to day.
