He’s baaaaaack!!!!!

My baby’s back, my baby’s back, my baby baby baby is back! ;)

Tom was INCREDIBLE today! The Patriots won 59-0 (yes, you read that score right) in the snow and rain of Foxboro. Gillette Stadium is like 1313 Mockingbird Lane. It’s always the snowiest and rainiest spot in Massachusetts, sometimes the only spot. It was snowing in other parts of the state but wasn’t sticking like it did in Foxboro.

Tom and the Pats set all kinds of records today against the Tennessee Titans. Both teams were wearing their throwback unis, and the Titans used to be the Houston Oilers before they moved to Tennessee. Anyway, they didn’t look too used to snow, nor was their 0-5 record a great start before today (now 0-6).

Tom threw for 6 touchdown passes, 5 in the second quarter. Those 5 in one quarter set an NFL record, as did the 45-0 score at halftime, and the 59-0 final was the biggest margin of victory in NFL history (tied with another team that did it decades ago). Tom threw for over 390 yards. The team scored over 614 yards of offense. He and Randy Moss connected after sputtering the first five games, and with Wes Welker and others.

The first series had looked like a sputter with a penalty and a sack ending up with a missed field goal, so no points for the offense. After that? They scored nearly every time they touched the ball.

Tom looked pretty in his red-white-and-blue throwback! Imagine that! Pretty, and smart and talented! ;)

The snow looked beautiful coming down, and certainly didn’t seem to affect the Patriots at all. Tom didn’t play the entire game. After scoring on the first series in the third quarter, he was taken out and his rookie back-up, Brian Hoyer, was brought in, and he was able to get another touchdown to add to the score. He stuck it in the end zone himself! ;)
