Much better this week! A convincing win against the Buffalo Bills, who are 0-3 in the division, which is almost impossible to make up in terms of eligibility for the play-offs. The Patriots dominated this game, stretching out a drive in the fourth quarter that took 19 plays and mega-minutes to complete, chewing up clock time and keeping the Bills’ offense off the field. Matt Cassel ran for a touchdown and threw for another, and kicker Stephen Gostkowski was good, missing only his second field goal of the year but nailing all the rest.
The defense came up big with two interceptions, and fourth-string running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis came up huge, running for over 100 yards and scoring a TD. He was on the practice squad at the beginning of the year, but was needed as the three RBs ahead of him on the depth chart are all injured, one on IR.
So, the next game is this Thursday, a short week of preparation. It’ll be a dogfight against the Jets for first place in the division, as the NYJ won today and are also 6-3. Should be a great game!
