2008 DCU Fic/Art Valentine's Day Challenge

So, the mad whirl of the holidays are done, and now we’re left with snow, snow, and more snow until spring, what should we do?

Our thoughts should turn to love! :)

Romance! Lace! Red-white-and-pink! ;)

Writers, artists, icon-makers, manip-makers!

Select at least two prompts from the following (one from each category, or two from the same category) and if you want to include more than two, be my guest!

Link your contributions here on this page.  Here is the easy-to-read Master List.

Traditional

Roses (Any color)

White Lace

Red Silk

Red Velvet

Hearts

Chocolate/Candies

Candles

Dinner

Dancing

Music (Mention if it’s jazz, pop, etc. Bonus points for mention of the song title and singer/band and/or lyrics)

Colors:

Red

White

Pink

Sappy Card ;)

Jewelry

Non-Traditional

Flowers (any kind except roses)

Black Lace or Flannel? ;)

Chocolate is traditional, but are there any other kinds of foods considered an aphrodisiac or could work as a foodie version of sex pollen? ;)

Colors:

Purple

Black

Yellow

Menage a trois

Fishnet Stockings

Toys (You know what kind! ;) )

Hotel/No-Tell Motel (Either very cheap and chintzy, or an over-the-top Valentine-themed place)

Genre: Sure, romance comes to mind, but what else ya got? ;) Drama, humor, hurt/comfort, etc.

Pairings (or threesomes, etc. ;) ): Slash, het, gen (this is DCU but if you’d like to write Clex, hey, that fits into the DCU!)

Rating: G all the way through to NC-17

Posting dates: January 14th-February 14th, 2008 (If you don’t make the deadline, don’t worry. We want to read your fic or look at your awesome art even it’s past Valentine’s Day!) J

Also, if your fic fits the Chocolate Challenge, please feel free to post to both sites! J
