How fitting that Tom got win No. 201 against the Los Angeles Rams, his first Super Bowl opponent back in 2001 (they were the St; Louis Rams then). He passes Peyton Manning for sole ownership of Most Wins By A Starter. Whoo hoo!
Julian and LeGarrette had excellent games, and the rookie Malcolm Mitchell is attracting notice with his sure-handed catches for touchdowns. The Patriots' offense did stumble a little, settling for 5 field goals instead of touchdowns (they did get 2), but the game was never in question. The defense finally came up with turnovers (2) and special teams did well with kicking and punting, though the returns were subpar. Always work to do! :)
Tom is really putting together a season for the ages.
The 2001 team was honored at halftime to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Super Bowl XXXVI. Drew Bledoe, Lawyer Milloy, Troy Brown, and many familiar faces were in town for a fancy shindig at owner Bob Kraft's house and the ceremony. Fitting that Tom got his record on that day.
The Bills, Dolphins, and Jets all lost this week. :)
AFC EAST DIVISION
Next week, the Baltimore Ravens at Gillette Stadium!
