Yes!!! My boys won the game and they are on to the AFC Championship Game! Whoo hoo! Gillette Stadium was rockin'! :)

This is Tom's 10th AFC Championship Game in 14 years (his time in the league is 16 years but he didn't play as a starter in his rookie season and was out in 2008 with a torn ACL). That is insane! He has been to more of these games than some teams!

He was sharp and the offense ran well with Julian Edelman back to get his quick routes run and allow Tom to get the ball out in 2.5 seconds, thereby negating the opponent's pass rush. Gronk had 2 touchdowns and though the offense sputtered a bit, they were good enough to win. The defense did well for most of the night, though we do have some injuries, which hopefully aren't serious.

Kansas City was a tough opponent, but sadly for them, shades of Super Bowl XXXIX (against the Pats, ironically) as Head Coach Andy Reid's clock management skills left a lot to be desired. Too much time taken up by his team with time running out!

Unfortunately, the Patriots did not take care of business in Miami during the last game so will have to travel to Denver instead of hosting them at home this week, but the Patriots have a very good chance to knock off the Broncos on their home turf. Peyton Manning is not his old self by a long shot, and his playoff record is not that good overall. So we'll see! Another Super Bowl for the Pats? We'll know by late Sunday! :)
