Funny how with less daylight, we're actually entering the lighter half of the year. I went to the local farm stand last week and picked up a baby pumpkin and three colorful gourds. Also some yummy cherry tomatoes! :)
Anyway, in recent years I haven't watched as much TV. I always had a handful of shows to keep track of, but was so busy with Livejournal in its heyday, reading dozens of stories per week and writing my own and communicating with fellow fans, that TV was on the backburner a lot. I also caught up on a lot of reading (of actual books). This season, though, appears to be a packed schedule for the first time in years. If there's a conflict or I miss something, I'll catch up On Demand.
During football season, it's watching my beloved Patriots and other football games during the day, including Sunday Night Football (8:00-11:00; NBC), so the following will be caught up on during the week:
THE SIMPSONS 8:00-8:30 FOX
ONCE UPON A TIME 8:00-9:00 ABC
THE BIG BANG THEORY 8:00-8:30 CBS (This will move to Thursdays once Thursday Night Football is done on CBS, and SUPERGIRL takes over the timeslot. Definitely will check the Maid of Might out! :))
Looks like this will be the busiest TV night!
THE FLASH 8:00-9:00 CW
THE MUPPETS 8:00-8:30 ABC
MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. 9:00-10:00 ABC
LIMITLESS 10:00-11:00 ABC (I'll have to catch up with last night's premiere. Conked out and missed it! Also bummed out that FOREVER, a very good show, wasn't renewed. Bleah!)
ARROW 8:00-9:00 CW
LAW & ORDER: SVU 9:00-10:00 NBC
THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL 8:00-11:00 CBS (Until November and then THE BIG BANG THEORY takes over 8:00-8:30)
HAWAII FIVE-O 9:00-10:00 CBS
Ha, if I'm home (more often than not) it's Retro Night!
THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN 6:00-6:30; 6:30-7:00 METV
BATMAN 7:00-7:30; 7:30-8:00 METV
WONDER WOMAN 8:00-9:00 METV
STAR TREK (TOS) 9:00-10:00 METV
This doesn't even count if PBS has something good on, and if TMC and AMC's movies don't appeal, and the History Channel isn't so great that particular night. I'd like to have a busier social life, but frankly, my budget doesn't allow for it! :) TV will feed the fannish Muses, anyway.
I'm not sure if I'll give HEROES a try on Thursdays. The first season was perfect and ended just right. They should have stopped there. Season 2 was dreadful, 3 mediocre at best. Kinda killed the vibe.
