I haven’t done one of these ficcish updates in awhile because, frankly, there hasn’t been much going on, but things are stirring now so I thought I’d post. It helps me keep my thoughts organized and there are some people who find these kinds of posts interesting! :)
Firstly, the one thing that has been steady going has been the sequel to The Raven And The Nightingale Book I: Jeweled Nightingale. I’ve just been meandering along and writing when I feel like it since this doesn’t have any deadline, and there is light at the end of the tunnel now. I’m working on the last chapters so with any luck, might even start posting before summer. We shall see!
I’m still trying to come up with something for my own 2015 DCU Fic/Art Dick Grayson Diamond Anniversary Challenge, but I’ve got plenty of time. I may do something with Wee!Dick as it’s been quite awhile since I wrote our Little Bird as a precocious child. ;)
I have some ideas for Diana that are leaning toward gen, but it’s an idea or two that just won’t go away. It’ll be fun if I ever get around to writing the stories!
I finally MIGHT have an idea for dcu_bang. I can’t go into details on that because we’re supposed to remain anonymous until after artist claims, and writer sign-ups haven’t even been announced (or the Big Bang itself, for that matter), but if it goes ahead, I might be able to sign up. I figure it won’t get lost in the shuffle like it would if I signed up for marvel_bang, which will be swamped once Avengers 2: The Age Of Ultron comes out. And I have no Marvel ideas, anyway, unless the movie jumpstarts something.
I did claim a clexmas 2015 Spring Fling Bingo Card. I figured it might help me get back into writing short stuff again. If I fill even one row Clex might be my top couple this year. I had fun with the first card back in 2011. If you'd like to read those stories, you can find them here.
My Hogan’s Heroes WIP has been set aside. I don’t anticipate it being abandoned permanently because I’ve written too much of it, but right now the well is dry so I’ll let it be. Whether I finish it tomorrow or two years from now is fine because it has no deadline.
So, you might see some DC Comics stories coming your way with a lot of Smallville sprinkled in. :) Then again, none of these ideas might come to fruition, but it’s good to keep the bunnies hopping! ;)
