What a snoozer of a game! Of course, the game was meaningless to the Pats, who had locked up homefield advantage throughout the playoffs, and many of the starters (including Gronk and Julian Edelman) did not play. The Bills lost their chance at the playoffs last week so they were playing merely for pride. They did win for the first time in this stadium, and since Gillette Stadium opened in 2002, shows you how long it took! ;)
Tom played the first half. What was disturbing was how sputtery the offense was, but many of his weapons were missing. The defense did little better, but again, lots of starters not playing! So it was a lackluster game by the Pats.
Back-up quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo showed some good moves and rookie receiver Brian Tyms sparkled a bit today. :)
Hmm, Aaron Rodgers carted off the field with a bad calf. Green Bay fans must be hoping that the injury will heal in time for the playoffs! And speaking of injuries, Bill Belichick skipped his final regular season press conference to have the trainers work on him, though we have no details. Reportedly nothing major. Even coaches can get banged up on the sidelines!
The Jets looked like world-busters today and beat the Dolphins. LOL! Too little too late for their coach, Rex Ryan. Same ol' Jets! ;)
Final standings in the AFC East:
The Pats have a bye week and so must wait to find out who they play at Gillette Stadium in two weeks during the Divisional Round. :)
