Week 9: New England Patriots 43, Denver Broncos 21 (7-2) (Sunday, November 2, 2014)

The Pats blew out the Broncos! Much fun to be had at Gillette Stadium in little ol' Foxboro, Massachusetts. :)

It was snowing earlier in the day and CBS showed a shot of Tom smiling out on the field during warm-ups (he looks so cute in his Pats cap with the pom-pom!). :) The snow had stopped by game time but there was bitter cold and wind. The Patriots pretty much dominated the entire game. There was lots of Manning Face to be seen! ;) Bill Belichick is always in his head!

Gronk was still on a roll, scoring a TD and making a circus-like one-handed catch on another play. Julian scored a TD and ran back an 84-yarder on a punt return. Brandon LaFell and Shane Vereen scored touchdowns, and kicker Stephen Gostkowski was money on both his field goals. Tom was laser-like, deadly accurate, and spread the ball around to 9 different receivers. Gronk's TD catch tied him for second with Randy Moss in being the fastest to reach 50 TDs in 59 games.

Denver's vaunted defense had a few sacks and some pressures, but most of the day Tom was able to sit back in the pocket and survey the field. His receivers got open and the rout was on! Peyton threw 2 INTs and Tom 1 (his first in 5 games). The coaching staff failed to make adjustments. No double coverage on Gronk? Thank you, John Fox and Jack Del Rio!

Peyton is now 2-11 in games played in Foxboro. We'll see if these two teams meet again in the playoffs. If it's here, the Pats have an excellent chance of winning.

The Dolphins waxed the San Diego Chargers, 37-0, and the sorry Jets lost their eighth straight. The Bills had their bye week, which the Patriots have this week. The division standings:

NE 7-2
BUFF 5-3
Miami 5-3
NYJ 1-8
