Much improvement from last week, though the 15 penalties the Pats took was a record amount in one game in the Bill Belichick era. Still, we saw Chandler Jones block a punt and run it back for a TD, Devin McCourty intercept a Matt Cassel pass and get stopped at the 1-yard line after 60 yards, and Julian Edelman making 6 catches for 81 yards and a TD. He also had 4 punt returns and averaged 16.5 yards per return. Stevan Ridley ran for 100 yards. Brady was sharp, though his 129 yards passing was kind of paltry. He looked like his dog had died at the post-game presser, LOL!

It was Bill Belichick's 200th regular season win as a head coach. This is his 40th year in the league. The only paycheck he's ever drawn has been from the NFL. Not bad! :)

Shane Vereen looked good, Stephen Gostkowski was kicking sharp, and while there's a lot to clean up, the Pats did well.

Buffalo won and is 2-0! New York is playing one of the late games against Green Bay so no results yet. Miami lost to Buffalo so they are 1-1. If New York wins they will be 2-2 with Buffalo or 1-1 with New England and Miami.

Next week: The Pats host the Oakland Raiders in their home opener at Gillette Stadium!

EDIT: Same old Jets, luckily for us! ;) They blew a big lead against the Packers and lost, so the division looks like this:

BUFF 2-0
Miami 1-1
NE 1-1
NYJ 1-1

Bills fans are euphoric! ;)
