Thank You! :)

Wow, earlier this afternoon I had made this post and was feeling a little blue about losing my Dreamwidth paid account and LJ packages of icons.

I logged back on a little while ago and got the welcome news that the generous me_ya_ri had gifted me with a DW paid account for a whole year! Now I can keep importing my comms and doing other cool things. Thank you, hon! *hugs*

She's a peach! A great friend and such a talented writer, too! :)

I feel very lucky to have one of my wishes granted so quickly!

*grin* Surprise? I intended to do it earlier and then forgot. Too much busy in my life, I'm afraid. Merry Christmas early, Brady!

Merry Christmas, Meya! I'm glad I'm able to keep up with the DW stuff for another year. I'm still clinging to my LJ icons (see, Pretty Clark, LOL!) and for now a bunch of them are available to me over on DW before they expire here. I intend to work on some DW stuff and keep my holiday icons going over here on LJ while I can. I changed my layouts on the comms for the season and maybe I can sneak a few entries in over on wonderwomanlove.

BTW, I always read your posts about your original works. Sadly I don't have the means right now to buy any, but I'll always let people know about your wonderful work! I really like the story with Cadfael and Anwyn and that whole group. :)

Looks like I'm going to have to send an e-mail to FFP and nudge them again. Maybe I'll finish editing my other pro manuscript and self-publish that in 2014! It'll see print before my FFP work does. :(

*Hugs you* Personally, I deliberately let me LJ paid account expire. I love DW more than LJ anymore. Not that I'm deleting this journal but whatever works, right?

Aww, thank you!I understand how it works with money. That's part of why I do the Novel Monday and Free Fiction Friday posts, so people can read and then buy/donate if they want. I still miss the comments I got on fanfic but my own stories are just so darn much fun! XD

*snorts* No kidding! My contract actually expires on Jan 15th 2014. There's been no progress, no contact since September or so. I'm looking forward to getting my book back, taking out some of the edits they demanded and publishing it myself next year. FFP just hasn't worked out all for me. Sorry that it's not working for you either, sweetie!

Tight money is no fun. :(

My contract expires in March, I think. I'll have to look up the date.

I thought I was the only one with no contact since September! Looks like we're in the same boat. :)

A pity. I really liked my latest editor. I'll give 'em at least until my contract expires and see what happens.

No fun at all! *hugs you tight*

Do look it up. My contract said I had to have a fully approved book with all the bio and so forth done by the one year point, with an extension of one year if we didn't make that date. Which we didn't. As far as I can tell, and I do need to verify, the rights revert to me / us if the two year anniversary passes without the final draft being submitted and approved by FFP.

Yeah, she was nice. I had the same one for a while. But then she went the same way as my first editor (incommunicado for a while then something huge happened in their life and they dropped out) and pfft, gone. *shrugs*

I'm still hopeful for you. I'd love to read your books!

I'm definitely going to keep pushing them. I want the published books so that I can get the credit when I look around at other publishers. Unfortunately even in this new world of publishing, self-publishing doesn't carry the same weight. The publishing business is circling the drain because of stodgy thinking, but there you go! No one ever said it was easy. :)

Thank you! I am determined to get this trilogy published someday, by hook or by crook! ;)

Since all my edits have been done for months, I've been relaxing with occasional fanfics and when I get the energy, editing the other pro manuscript. I doubt much editing will be done this month, though. Too much holiday whirl and I'm feeling lazy! ;)

What a nice present-and a well-deserved one!
