The Flash 5x1; Black Lightning 2x1

I'm not sure if more than a few people even read these reviews, but I'll keep them doing them. They're a good way for me to keep track of what's going on in these interconnected shows.

So, slam-bang action in both premieres! Why the CW chose only to premiere two of their five superhero shows, I don't know, but they were entertaining.

Week 5: New England Patriots 38, Indianapolis Colts 24 (3-2) (Thursday, October 4, 2018)

Much better! The offense was really clicking with Jules back. Gronk and James White were really hot, too. Tom threw his 500th career TD to Josh Gordon, who was the 71st guy he's thrown to in his career. The glitches came with a couple of turnovers, but they were kind of fluky.

The defense made some plays but they're definitely trick-or-treat. The Colts were injury-riddled and yet the D couldn't stop certain drives. *smh*

It's a shaky proposition, but if Tom and his guys stay sharp, they might make it to the Super Bowl. That first drive was a thing of beauty with the first throw and completion to Jules. :)

Since this was a Thursday game, no info on the other divisional teams yet.

Next week, the high-flying Kansas City Chiefs!

EDIT:

Random Rumbles

Life has been pretty chaotic lately. Not much writing but enough to keep posting. Sucks that my LJ Paid Account expired this morning. Knocks out the extra userpics, many of which were Halloween-based! Little things add up. :(

Looks like the CW will be finally rolling out their DC shows next week. Time to start doing a little reviewing, I guess.

Halloween themes are inspiring me right now. Gee, I wonder why? :)

It's football season, so that's a plus. The Patriots are appropriately trick-or-treat right now. :)

A fire crackled in the hearth as he worked. Last night had unnerved him. Usually he shrugged off the cold and dark of this drafty castle, but it had spooked him last night…Collapse )

Hi, Gentlebeings! :)

Hi, luvs!

My Livejournal Paid Account is expiring in a few days, and there goes my expanded packages of userpics that someone generously gifted to me because they can't be used with a Basic Account. :( I have so many Halloween ideas and would love to be able to use my holiday icons.

On Dreamwidth I have only 15 icons after expiration, and it's been very frustrating. I hope I can continue with at least Livejournal's icons.

Anyway, if anyone can help, I'd be most grateful. Thank you.

Week 4: New England Patriots 38, Miami Dolphins 7 (2-2) (Sunday, September 30, 2018)

Now that's more like it!

The Patriots had a bit of a slow start but then they got on a roll and never looked back. The offense scored a lot (though Tom had two INTs) and actually looked crisp at times. Rookie RB Sony Michel had a break-out game, and newcomer Josh Gordon contributed.

The defense swarmed to the ball and actually made plays! They were able to chip the receivers and stop the run. And even rush the passer and get a sack and some turnovers. Amazing! :)

Miami could only score a TD in garbage time.

Special teams did well, and there was energy this week. Whoo hoo!

All the teams in our division lost big today.

AFC EAST DIVISION

Miami 3-1
NE 2-2
BUFF 1-3
NYJ 1-3

A very good day for the Patriots' Hall Of Fame Induction Weekend. Matt Light, the left tackle who protected Tom Brady's blindside for years, was the inductee this year. I'm sure he was thrilled with the game. :)

Indy comes to town in four days!
