Week 5: New England Patriots 30, Dallas Cowboys 6 (4-0) (Sunday, October 11, 2015)

The Patriots didn’t put up as many points as people expected, but that was due to the Dallas pass rush being more effective than expected. The pass rush gave them more problems than they’d counted on, and for the first half the Pats had to try and work around their protection problems. Tom got hit hard, getting sacked five times in the first half alone (the most in one half in his career), but the protection shored up and then the offense began to click.

Tom scored a touchdown himself and threw for two more. Gronk was the bowling ball and the Dallas defensive backs the bowling pins. ;) Dion Lewis had some crazy moves and Julian was his usual shifty self. Stephen Gostkowski hit the longest field goal of his career, 57 yards.

The defense was at the top of their game, stuffing the run and not allowing a touchdown, only two field goals for the Cowboys.

It was a great game! And hopefully the Patriots will put up even more points against the hated Colts this Sunday.

The Bills won their game and the Jets and Dolphins were on their bye week.

New England 4-0
NYJ 3-1 (Bye)
Buffalo 3-2
Miami 1-3 (Bye)
