Stanley Cup Finals Game 2: Boston Bruins 2, Chicago Blackhawks 1 (OT) (Saturday, June 15, 2013) (1-1)

Another crazy game! The Bruins came out flat in the first period (Thank Goddess for goalie Tuukka!) but rallied enough to tie the game and they went into (yep, you guessed it!) overtime! ;) The Bruins scored in the first OT period so split the games in Chicago and now will be playing at the Boston Garden tonight.

I'm put out by NBC's decision to not broadcast the game Saturday or tonight on free TV. I'll see the game on Wednesday and hope I'll see the remaining games! Stupid decisions, if you ask me. They're losing viewers and apparently The Voice will get them more ratings tonight. *rolls eyes* But why just reruns on Saturday? NHL, now you know why you're the fourth sport in this country. *grumbles*

Stanley Cup Finals Game 1: Chicago Blackhawks 4, Boston Bruis 3 (OT) (Wednesday, June 12, 2013) (0-1)

Hi, guys! Now that it's Stanley Cup time and my boys are in it, just some quick recaps of the games: well-played and with high intensity, the Bruins let two two-goal leads get away from them and the Blackhawks scored to tie the game at 3-3, finally winning in TRIPLE OVERTIME! One of the Finals' longest games played EVAH!!! Milan Lucic scored twice and Patrice Bergeron once but, alas, 'twasn't enough!

Nothing like Stanley Cup playoff hockey! The only one to match it is NFL football, and that is intense every contest as every playoff game is an elimination game (as football can't play best-of-seven. All the players would be dead!). Each team last night played well for most of the game but someone's gotta win and someone's gotta lose! At least the Bruins have a chance to even the series next Saturday at 8:00 EDT on NBC. :)

Hey, luvs! The Boston Bruins are back in the Stanley Cup Finals! Whoo hoo! After a drought of 39 years we won the most beautiful trophy in sports in 2011, and now we have another chance! The Bruins came from behind to score two goals in the final seconds against the Maple Leafs to win the first series, took care of the Rangers in five games in the second, and waxed the high-flying Pittsburgh Penguins in a four-game sweep! Now it's on to the Chicago BlackHawks!

In other New England sports news, the Patriots signed Tim Tebow! Yikes! Should be interesting.
